Morning everyone. Markets look spicy today — NFP aftermath still rippling through EUR/USD.

Let's go! Feeling good about gold today. XAU has been consolidating all week.

Anyone else see that massive wick on GBP/JPY at the London open? Almost got stopped out.

GBP/JPY is a beast. I only trade it when I want to feel something lol

DXY breaking above 104.50. If it holds, I'm going short EUR/USD at the retest. Classic playbook.

Be careful with that. There's a liquidity pool sitting just above 104.80. They might sweep it before reversing. I'm waiting.

I'm already +2.3% today. Quick scalps on gold during the London overlap. In and out, no drama.

What's everyone's risk per trade in The Pit? I've been doing 5% of the $250 per position.

I do 3-4%. The math is simple: you need to survive the day to win the day. One bad trade at 10% risk and you're out of contention.

Depends on the setup. If I see an A+ setup with confluence across 3 timeframes, I'll risk 8%. But those come maybe twice a week.

BTC just broke 78k resistance. This is the move I've been waiting for all week. Long from 78.2k, target 80.5k.

Bold call. I'm on the other side — BTC looks like a distribution pattern to me. Selling into strength.

Rough morning. Took a -3.2% hit on GBP/USD. News spike caught me on the wrong side. Sitting on my hands for the rest of the London session.

@MarginCall smart move. The best trade is sometimes no trade. Reset and come back for NY open.

My day started at 4 AM and I'm already done. +2.1% on an Asian session breakout. Now I watch you all battle it out.

MIDDAY UPDATE: I'm at +4.7% ROI. Currently sitting at rank 3. Two trades today — one EUR/USD long and one XAU short. Both still running.

Careful with that gold short. There's a Fed speaker at 1:30 PM ET — could create a vol spike on precious metals.

The real edge in The Pit is risk management, not entries. Everyone here can find a setup. Not everyone can manage a position when it goes against them.

USD/CAD is setting up a beautiful head and shoulders on the 4H. If the neckline breaks, I'm targeting 150 pips downside.

With the VIX at 18 and climbing, I'm staying defensive. Small positions, tight stops. Days like this separate the disciplined from the reckless.

Quick question: does anyone trade AUD/NZD in The Pit? I find it super rangy and predictable but not sure if the low vol is worth it for ROI competition.

AUD/NZD is great for consistency but terrible for The Pit. You need ROI% to win. Go where the volatility is — XAU, GBP/JPY, NAS100.

Closing in on Gamma. Still have a gold position running that I'm targeting for the NY afternoon session. Let's see.

Gold just spiked on the Fed speaker. My long is up +1.8% on the position. Let's GO.

Shadow just passed me. That gold trade was disgusting (complimentary). Back to 2nd place. Still 7 hours left though.

Real talk: The Pit changed how I trade. Before this I had no structure, no discipline. Now I prepare every morning, manage risk properly, review every night. The competition forces you to level up.

That's the real value proposition. The $250 prize is nice but the trader you become is worth 100x that.

Gold printed exactly where I thought it would. +3.9% locked in. Not enough to catch Shadow but I'll take it.

NY session closing in 2 hours. If you're green, consider locking in profits. Greed at the end of the day is the #1 way people go from winning to losing in The Pit.

I'm at +6.3% in the Global Pit. Closed everything. Not risking it. Sometimes the best move is to walk away while you're ahead.

Anyone else notice the correlation between winning days and days where you meditate/exercise before trading? Sounds woo but my data shows a 15% higher win rate on days I run in the morning.

Not woo at all. Trading is a performance activity. Athletes warm up before competing. Why wouldn't traders? My morning routine: 30 min run, cold shower, journal, market review. Then I trade.
